Now that the game is gaining momentum among the Xbox community, it's no surprise that some veterans want to see their Halo characters in that universe.

The Halo player community is advocating for the inclusion of skins inspired by Bungie’s iconic Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) in the game. The conceptual similarity between Helldivers and ODST has been noted by veterans of both universes, as both are elite units launched from space, specialized in high-risk operations behind enemy lines. Additionally, it seems like it would be a great nod to the Xbox version that will arrive soon.
The robust and functional aesthetic of the ODST armor fits perfectly with the combat philosophy of Helldivers 2, making it an addition that wouldn’t be out of place. A Reddit user commented that “ODST are the spiritual inspiration for Helldivers. Being able to dress my Helldiver in that armor would be a dream come true”.
Who is responsible for making these skins a reality?
The number of people who would buy these skins would be significant, according to players. It’s not uncommon to see comments like the one from Lastnv on this Reddit thread, who claims that it would be an instant purchase for him if they add this to the game:
Every time I play HD2, I think about ODST and Halo and what could have been. ODST skins would be an instant purchase for me.
Other players also joked about adding Gears skins, taking advantage of the fact that both games arrive in August:
Imagine if a Carmine skin would be a great addition to the game, considering team killing, haha.
Definitely hoping they have ODST Spartan and Doomslayer armor, it would be awesome.
Obviously, this depends not only on Arrowhead, but also on Sony, Microsoft, and Nixxes, the studio in charge of the Xbox port. By the way, it would be their first port of a Sony game to this platform, so don’t rule out that more may arrive in the future, at least they’ll have experience.
