Razer always seeks a balance between comfort and quality in its peripherals, never forgetting aesthetics or the latest technological advancements. And the best example of this is the company’s latest keyboard: Razer BlackWidow V4 Tenkeyless Hyperspeed. A new peripheral for computers that has been available since last August 2025 for a price of 169.99 €. A price that is well worth it, as we are dealing with one of the most complete keyboards in the industry.
I’ve been able to verify this firsthand after more than a month of intensive use with it in all types of tasks, from office work to long gaming sessions. And the feeling it has left me with has always been the same: satisfaction. Especially since it combines a compact design, without a numeric keypad, with the best technologies on the market, making it one of the most complete gaming peripherals.
Before getting into the details, I should mention that the box includes, as always, everything you need to enjoy the keyboard. A USB cable to connect it to the computer, a device to connect it via Bluetooth, and the typical dongle for USB connection.

Typing has never been so satisfying and customizable
As I mentioned earlier, this new keyboard features keys with considerable travel distance. It’s really satisfying, especially when writing more than when gaming, because the travel distance between keys is fast and easy. Its response is quick and the sound it makes is quite pleasant, more classic, although not too loud.
But the great feature is that we can customize every element of the keys. It’s a Hot-Swap keyboard that allows us to swap both the keys themselves and the switches. This gives us a wide range of possibilities to modify the travel distance and response of the keystrokes to our liking, also allowing us to modify the sound they make.
Out of the box, the keyboard comes with double-shot ABS keys and anti-ghosting technology, ideal for avoiding accidental keystrokes. The feel of the keys is pleasant, and it’s clear that they’re designed to be durable and withstand daily wear and tear.
One of its most innovative aspects is the additional action buttons it features. Located in the top right corner, it has a wheel that allows us to adjust the computer’s volume and three buttons below it that serve to control different multimedia aspects and indicate the battery level (which is indicated by the LED lights below the numeric line). These are fully customizable to our needs and preferences, and we can also select different profiles with distinct options in each one.
Where? As always, we can modify and configure all aspects of accessibility, personalization, and functionality through the Razer Synapse app, where we can also modify the keyboard’s RGB lights or the wheel’s actions.
But Razer always strives for more, and in this case, with Razer Synapse, we can program each key with a predetermined action. In addition to the different profiles, including a gaming profile (which disables rebound for faster keystrokes), we have the possibility of creating our own. And the Razer Blackwidow V4 also features a new function called Snap Tap, which prevents two keys from being registered at the same time and only recognizes the first keystroke.
Speed par excellence
Another strong point of the Razer Blackwidow V4 is its ultra-fast 2.4 GHz connection. This is achieved thanks to Hyperspeed, Razer’s proprietary technology, which once again impresses us. Not only because of the possibility of switching between devices quickly and efficiently but also because of its incredible 1000 Hz polling rate, which allows for immediate response with virtually no delay.
On the other hand, its battery life stands out. According to Razer, it can last up to 980 hours in power-saving mode. A figure that, as in other cases, depends on the intensity of the lights, the settings we use, connectivity, etc. But one thing is clear: it has an impressive battery life, as we’ve barely had to charge it once during these weeks of testing. And our daily sessions, both gaming and working, are not exactly short.

Is the Razer Blackwidow V4 worth it?
This new Razer keyboard meets all our expectations of a keyboard in the gaming world, although it serves in any context and shines in every moment. Its incredible customizability, from swapping switches to keys, its quick response, or the possibility of assigning functions to each key, make it a very complete option in the current market.
Additionally, the new functionality keys are ideal for quickly activating or modifying multimedia content. And if we have more devices from the brand, we can connect them all to a single dongle on the computer thanks to Hyperspeed. Because, in the end, Razer also bets on this: comfort above all and in all aspects.
And with the Razer Blackwidow V4, it achieves this in every way. With a pleasant feel and simple, fast connectivity, we’re dealing with one of the most complete keyboards on the market. And totally modular.
