October bids farewell with a very special release for JRPG fans. Tales of Xillia Remastered arrives on Xbox on October 31st, bringing back one of the most memorable installments in the saga. More than a decade after its original debut, the adventure of Jude Mathis and Milla Maxwell returns with an enhanced version that updates graphics, performance, and sound to meet current standards. The only drawback is that it won’t be released in physical format on Xbox, as the game was canceled in this version, although you can get it in digital format on the Xbox Store.
Bandai Namco has opted for a respectful remaster of the original material, but ambitious enough to attract new players. The game now runs at 60 stable FPS, with more defined textures, a redesigned interface, and remastered audio. All this without losing the classic tone and intense narrative that defined the Tales of series on the Xbox 360 generation.
Tales of Xillia Remastered: dual protagonist and real-time combat for Xbox
The hallmark of Tales of Xillia Remastered remains its dual protagonist system, which allows players to experience the story from the perspective of Jude or Milla, two heroes with opposing views on the fate of their world. Through their parallel paths, players can understand the conflicts of Rieze Maxia from different angles, adding more depth to the events that marked the saga.
The classic Linear Motion Battle System returns more polished than ever, with chained attacks, mystical arts, and fluid animations. The essence of real-time action remains, but with a more natural pace and better response to controls. Additionally, the remaster includes all the additional costumes, missions, and downloadable content that accompanied the original title.
