The Xbox for PC app has generated a stir in recent hours after displaying several games in its catalog that, to date, do not have a native version for PC within the Xbox ecosystem. The discovery was shared by users on Reddit and has opened the door to all sorts of speculation about Microsoft’s future moves.
As can be verified from the app itself (not from the Xbox website), titles such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, INDIKA, and Black Myth: Wukong are listed. In the case of the latter, its presence is particularly striking, as it is currently only available on console within the Xbox environment, which has set off alarm bells among PC players.
What does the appearance of these games in the Xbox PC app mean?
For now, there is no official confirmation that these titles will be coming to PC Game Pass, Xbox Play Anywhere, or even have a native PC version in the Xbox store. Everything suggests that their presence could be related to xCloud, as the Xbox app for PC integrates both installable games and cloud-accessible titles.
Still, the community hasn’t wasted time speculating. Some players believe that Space Marine 2 could end up being part of Xbox Play Anywhere, while others point to a possible future arrival on Game Pass, at least in cloud format. In the case of INDIKA, several users recall that it is not currently available on xCloud, which adds even more confusion to the matter.
Microsoft has already made it clear on other occasions that the Xbox app for PC often gets ahead of official announcements, showing internal listings that don’t always translate to immediate releases. For now, it’s best to treat this information as a technical hint and not as confirmation, although it’s an interesting clue about possible future plans for the Xbox catalog on PC.
