Assassin’s Creed Shadows has surpassed five million players on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and now Ubisoft has shared an updated roadmap for the game, which includes the release date of Claws of Awaji, the first expansion in history.
This will be the first story expansion for Naoe and Yasuke’s adventure, and, as we recall, it will be completely free for all those who pre-ordered the game. A new adventure that promises 10 hours of new content.
New mission, new story to discover
In Claws of Awaji, Naoe and Yasuke embark on an adventure to the island of Awaji in search of a “lost treasure”. As they explore this new region, they will face a new faction and enemy bosses, and discover new equipment and abilities. One of the most notable elements of this expansion is the new Bō weapon type, which will be available for Naoe, although unfortunately, it will be exclusive to this character.
Claws of Awaji will be available on September 16, 2025 on all platforms where Assassin’s Creed Shadows is on sale.
