Ubisoft has officially confirmed that it’s working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The project will be internally known as “Resynced” and will mark the return of one of the most memorable chapters in the franchise.
The original game was released in 2013 and stood out for its pirate setting in the Caribbean, combining naval exploration, combat, and the story of Edward Kenway. Since then, it has become one of the most popular titles in the entire saga, fueling rumors of a possible new version for years.
“Resynced”, the remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
According to information revealed by Ubisoft, the project will rebuild the game using modern technology, adapting it to current platforms.
Although not many details have been given about the specific improvements, the goal would be to offer an updated version of the game, with technical improvements and adjustments to the gameplay to adapt it to current standards. The remake will maintain the foundation of the original title, including its open-world setting in the Caribbean and the prominence of naval combat, one of the most memorable elements of the game.
One of the most beloved Assassin’s Creed games
Over the years, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag has remained one of the most valued episodes by players, especially for its mix of adventure, maritime exploration, and ship-to-ship combat. The “Resynced” remake aims to recapture that experience for a new generation of players, while also allowing players to revisit Edward Kenway’s journey with improved visuals and technical enhancements.
For now, Ubisoft has not confirmed release date or platforms, so we’ll have to wait for future presentations to learn more about this new version of the pirate classic in the Assassin’s Creed saga.
