For years, we’ve seen titles associated with Xbox making the leap to other platforms, but the reverse movement is gaining strength. Xbox Series will expand its catalog in the coming days with two games that could only be played on PS5, confirming that the barriers between consoles are becoming increasingly blurred.
Both releases are already dated and will arrive before the end of the year, adding variety to the final stretch of December with very different proposals, but with a common denominator: their official debut on Xbox consoles.
PS5 games coming to Xbox Series in December
The first to make the leap will be Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, which will arrive on Xbox Series on December 16th. This new installment of the popular horror saga introduces a threat linked to artificial intelligence capable of imitating human behavior, increasing psychological tension and constantly playing with the player’s perception. After its release on PC and PS5 last June, it finally lands on the Xbox ecosystem.
Just a few days later, on December 19th, it will be the turn of Fort Solis. This sci-fi thriller, developed with Unreal Engine 5, takes us to a remote mining base on Mars, where an emergency call triggers a night marked by mystery and uncertainty. Its proposal is based on a carefully crafted setting and standout performances, with names like Troy Baker and Roger Clark leading the cast.
Two arrivals that reinforce the end of the year on Xbox Series and confirm a trend that is becoming increasingly clear: what was once exclusive is now finding its way to new platforms. Good news for those who expect to expand their library without changing consoles.
