We still have a couple of months ahead to close out 2025, but we can already start to see the releases that have confirmed their arrival for Xbox Game Pass next year. Yesterday, a new arrival was announced for 2026, in this case, we have nothing more and nothing less than the new version of the first Halo, with its new edition developed under the Unreal Engine.

In addition to Forza Horizon 6, about which we still don’t have too many details, the other big title that will arrive on the service will be High on Life 2, a highly anticipated sequel to one of the best games of recent years, and even more so being a new IP.

High on Life 2 bets on more craziness and freedom

The sequel to the irreverent title from Squanch Games will take its humor to the next level. High on Life 2 will be bigger, more experimental, and even more absurd, incorporating new mechanics such as the use of a skateboard available at all times and a design inspired by Metroidvania games.

Unlike the first game, which focused on a single city (Blim City), this sequel will feature three large main areas, each with side missions, NPCs, collectible objects, and secrets to discover. According to its creators, players will be able to choose their exploration pace, completing tasks or simply enjoying the chaos of the alien world.

• High on Life 2 will arrive on February 13, 2026, and like its predecessor, it will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Halo: Campaign Evolved revives the legend with Unreal Engine 5

The second big announcement is a true blast from the past. Halo: Campaign Evolved will be a complete remake of the original campaign of Halo: Combat Evolved, rebuilt from scratch with Unreal Engine 5 and designed to take full advantage of the power of Xbox Series and PC.

The title will offer 4K graphics, completely renovated animations and sound, as well as three new missions that expand the story of Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson. It will also add new weapons and vehicles inspired by later games in the series, with full support for online co-op, cross-progression, and Xbox Play Anywhere.

The remake aims to keep the essence of the original intact, but reinterpreted for a new generation of players. Its arrival is scheduled for 2026, with a simultaneous launch on Xbox Series, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and immediate availability on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
