Although there are still two weeks to go before Microsoft fully details the Xbox Game Pass catalog for January 2026, there are already two confirmed games that give us an idea of how the service will start the new year. It’s not an extensive list, but it does show that there will be very different proposals from the first days.
As usual at this time of year, confirmations come in slowly before the official monthly announcement. Nevertheless, one of the titles is already shaping up to be the main attraction, especially with its simultaneous release on console and PC.
Confirmed Xbox Game Pass Games for January 2026
For now, these are the two titles officially announced for the service next month:
-
MIO: Memories in Orbit — January 20th
Console and PC · Xbox Game Pass -
Nova Roma — January 22nd
PC · PC Game Pass
MIO: Memories in Orbit stands out as the most notable proposal for the month so far. Developed as an exploration and progression metroidvania, it puts the player in the shoes of the android MIO, who must navigate a massive spaceship filled with out-of-control machines, upgrade their abilities, and uncover what happened to its inhabitants. Its day-one release on both console and PC reinforces its importance in the catalog.
On the other hand, Nova Roma expands the PC Game Pass offering with a city-building game set in ancient Rome. Resource management, political decisions, social balance, and production chains will be crucial to maintaining the city’s stability and gaining the favor of both the people and the gods.
