During the Gamescom 2025, PQube and the studio Dual Effect have confirmed that Tormented Souls 2 will be released on October 23, 2025 on Xbox Series. The sequel to the acclaimed retro-style survival horror promises to take Caroline Walker on a new and disturbing journey filled with grotesque creatures and reality changes.

The announcement came with a new trailer shown at the Future Games Show, where the first details of the scenarios and enemies that players will face were revealed. A proposal that seeks to maintain the essence of classic survival horror, with fixed cameras, dense exploration, and a strong atmospheric component.

Caroline returns to horror in Villa Hess with Tormented Souls 2

The story of Tormented Souls 2 begins after the abduction of Anna, Caroline’s sister, by the sinister Mother Lucia and her cult. This time, Caroline will have to escape a labyrinthine convent to discover the true terror that awaits in Villa Hess.

The game maintains the mechanics of mirrors and video tapes from the first title, but now with greater impact: the actions you take in the “Other side” will directly alter the current timeline of Villa Hess, revealing more secrets about the city and its cursed history.

New enemies in the “Other side”

In this unsettling alternate world, Caroline will face beings of immense power, deformed by corruption and misery. Among them stand out:

• The Iron Lady: a colossal figure armed with a huge crucifix and protected by a metal mask, who acts as a cruel executioner within the convent.

• The Harvester: a mechanical and fleshly creature that inhabits the processing plant of Wildberger & Hess. Armed with a gigantic saw and an armored body, it will be one of the most lethal bosses.

With its release set in the midst of Halloween, Tormented Souls 2 wants to become the most intense retro terror experience of the year, bringing a new chapter of this saga to Xbox Series, which has already conquered the hearts of classic survival horror fans.
