Ubisoft has released a new update for Assassin’s Creed Unity that improves the game’s performance on Microsoft’s current consoles. The patch is already available on Xbox Series, and several players have started analyzing how the title behaves after this free improvement.
This move comes over a decade after the game’s original release, but it shows that Ubisoft is still reviewing some titles in its catalog. Although on Xbox the game already had previous improvements thanks to system features, the new patch introduces additional changes that affect performance and how it runs on current hardware.
How Assassin’s Creed Unity works on Xbox Series after the update
After installing the update, Assassin’s Creed Unity now runs with native 60 FPS on Xbox Series, something that was already possible through FPS Boost, but now comes integrated directly into the game itself. The result is a very fluid experience exploring revolutionary Paris, with much smoother animations and movements.
As for resolution, there is still some uncertainty. Initial tests suggest that the game may have been updated to 4K on Xbox Series, while others indicate that the title would still be based on a 900p resolution with subsequent upscaling. In any case, the performance seems solid, and the game remains compatible with Auto HDR, which improves contrast and color on compatible TVs.
On Xbox Series S, the behavior also remains stable at 60 FPS, although there is still no definitive data on the game’s final resolution on this console. We will have to wait for more detailed and precise technical analysis to confirm all the changes introduced with the patch.
