This could be the price of the next Xbox according to current clues

In recent months, Microsoft has been hinting at what its next generation of consoles will look like, and everything points to the new Xbox taking a leap not only in terms of technology, but also in price. The recent ROG Xbox Ally X, developed in collaboration with Asus, has been launched in Europe for €899, a cost that has raised concerns about the future price range of Redmond’s hardware.

It’s worth noting that the current Xbox Series X and Series S have been increasing in price over the years. The Series S, which debuted in 2020 for €299, is now priced between €310 and €329 depending on the model, while the Series X, originally sold for €499, now reaches €599 in its version with a disc drive and €549 in the digital model.

A more premium Xbox… and probably more expensive

In a recent interview with Mashable Tech, Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, stated that the next generation will offer “a very premium and high-end experience”, making it clear that Microsoft is looking to position its new hardware as a benchmark product within the industry.

If we add to this the recent price increase of Xbox Game Pass, both in its monthly and annual plans, the landscape begins to paint a change in strategy: a high-performance Xbox, closer to a PC, and with a unified ecosystem around Windows.

The price

Taking into account these factors, and the current price of the ROG Xbox Ally X, everything suggests that the new console could easily be priced between €699 and €899 in its most advanced version. A significant leap, but consistent with the promise of offering “the biggest technical leap in Xbox history”.

For now, Microsoft is keeping quiet about specific details, although the clues are there: the new Xbox will not be just another console, but a high-end piece of hardware designed for an audience that seeks power and versatility without compromise.
