After its first weekend on the market, Battlefield 6 has received a new update that introduces several changes to gameplay and weapon balance. Although it’s an internal patch with no additional download, the modifications are applied automatically when starting the game with an internet connection.
This first revision aims to fine-tune the multiplayer experience and improve overall performance, especially in more active modes like Assault.
Main changes in the new Battlefield 6 update
-
Assault Mode: increase of 25 re-entry tickets on several maps, bringing the total to 100.
-
Shotguns: reduction of effective range, now limited to short and medium distance to balance their power.
-
M2010 ESR Sniper Rifle: decrease in bullet speed from 900 to 800 m/s, reducing its effectiveness at long range.
-
PSR Sniper Rifle: adjustment of 750 to 720 m/s projectile speed, a slight change aimed at maintaining consistent damage.
These adjustments are part of the ongoing work by DICE and EA to maintain a competitive and fair balance between classes and weapons. Additionally, the studio is already preparing a larger update with stability fixes, performance improvements, and new features that could arrive in the coming weeks.
For now, players can enjoy a more balanced experience while the team continues to polish, which is already one of the most ambitious shooters in the Battlefield saga.
