The horror and science fiction title, developed by Lunar Software and published by Raw Fury, will arrive in 2025 on Xbox and PC consoles via Steam. Additionally, it has been confirmed that it will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Set in an abandoned lunar base, the game proposes a first-person experience where players must investigate what has happened in the facilities while surviving unknown threats. Its atmosphere is inspired by a retro-analog future with an aesthetic from the 80s, reinforcing the feeling of tension and isolation in every corner of the station.
ROUTINE bets on immersive horror on Xbox Game Pass
The trailer shown during the presentation offers a glimpse of the gameplay, highlighting several key elements. Among them, the exploration of very different sectors within the station, from shopping centers, deserts to ruined residential areas.
The game’s design bets on total immersion thanks to the character’s body awareness, minimal use of the interface, and diegetic sound that intensifies every moment. To progress, players will have the help of the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.), a fundamental tool that allows access to terminals, identify clues, and navigate the base’s corridors.
Survival will be the priority: you can run, hide, or face threats, using the C.A.T. as a last resort. A proposal that seeks to combine exploration with psychological horror and constant tension mechanics.
