The supposed return of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is gaining momentum again. After months of speculation, leaks, and strange movements in official databases, it’s now Insider Gaming that claims the remake announcement is closer than it seems.
The portal led by Tom Henderson, one of the most recognized insiders in the industry, points directly to April 2026 as the expected window for the official reveal. A date that fits with other recent comments from industry sources.
Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Remake could be revealed in April 2026
According to the published information, Ubisoft would already have planned the announcement of the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake, although the project would have suffered internal adjustments after the company’s recent restructuring. In fact, other developments like the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would also have been affected by these changes.
This is not the first solid hint. At the end of 2025, a record appeared in the PEGI database under the name Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, which sparked theories about a complete overhaul of the 2013 classic. Additionally, previously, there was even talk of a possible release in March 2026, a date that ultimately did not materialize.
For now, Ubisoft has not officially confirmed anything. However, the coincidence of several independent sources pointing to an imminent reveal reinforces the idea that the return of the iconic Edward Kenway is only a matter of time. If April turns out to be the chosen month, the mystery surrounding the project could be resolved very soon.
