Minecraft kicks off the day with a highly anticipated addition that the community has been eagerly waiting for. Both in Java and Bedrock Edition, the new update adds a significant number of creatures, adjustments, and tools designed to enhance combat from mounts and expand exploration possibilities. It’s a patch packed with fresh ideas, perfect for those who enjoy moving through the Overworld with their own style.
The content arrives just when the community was asking for more variety in the use of mounts and more depth in combat. With new enemies, specific weapons, and creatures that can be tamed, the experience gains options on land… and also underwater.
All the new features of Mounts of Mayhem, available today in Minecraft
The update incorporates a complete list of new mobs and improvements that directly affect mounted combat:
-
Camel husks: a passive creature typical of the desert, although it often appears with one or two hostile riders. They don’t burn in sunlight and require mounted and long-range combat to tame them.
-
Parched: a variant of the desert skeleton that doesn’t suffer from solar damage. They often appear mounted on camel husks, adding more layers of difficulty in arid zones.
-
Lance: a weapon designed for close combat or when fighting from a mount. Its damage increases according to the player’s speed.
-
Lunge Enchantment (Lance): allows for a rapid advance with a speed boost when attacking. Higher levels increase the distance covered.
-
Nautilus: a neutral aquatic creature that, when mounted, improves underwater speed and maintains a stable air supply. It can be tamed with globefish.
-
Zombie Nautilus: a hostile, underwater version of the nautilus. They often appear with a drowned rider, and to tame them, you must first defeat the rider and then attract them with a globefish. There’s even a rare variant in warm waters.
-
Zombie Horse: a passive creature that appears at night accompanied by a zombie armed with a lance. After dismounting the rider, it can be tamed and become a loyal undead mount.
-
Improvements to traditional mounts: horses can now swim, although at a slower pace, eliminating the hassle of stopping every time a stream appears.
-
Netherite Horse Armor: by combining a diamond armor, a netherite upgrade template, and a netherite ingot, the mount gains spectacular protection.
An update packed with new ideas that expands the way you move and fight in the world of Minecraft, both on land and underwater. The game receives a perfect boost for those who enjoy exploring with mounts or taming creatures in each biome.
