The weekly report from Circana (Player Engagement Tracker) for the week ending October 11, 2025 confirms what many expected: Call of Duty remains the most played title on both Xbox and PlayStation. The rest of the ranking shows some interesting differences between the two platforms, especially with the emergence of Battlefield 6 and the rise of Ghost of Yotei.
In the case of Xbox, the Top 5 is completed by Fortnite, Roblox, Grand Theft Auto V (Remastered), and Minecraft, all of which are fixtures among the most played month after month. Right behind is Skate (2026), which has maintained a stable level of activity since its release. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 climbs to eighth place after its recent content update, surpassing heavyweights like Hogwarts Legacy or Helldivers II.
Shooters dominate the ranking, but Xbox gains ground with Battlefield 6
On PlayStation, the landscape changes slightly: Ghost of Yotei slips into seventh place after rising five positions, while Battlefield 6 falls just short of the Top 10. In both cases, sports titles NBA 2K26 and WWE 2K25 maintain a very active community, reflecting the genre’s strong pull on console.
On the Xbox side, the debut of Supermarket Simulator is also noteworthy, entering directly at number 13, a notable achievement for an independent title. Additionally, Borderlands 4 and Marvel Rivals solidify their positions among the most played, confirming the interest in cooperative and action-packed experiences.
These Circana data show a clear trend: big shooters and service games continue to lead, but there’s room for surprises, both in recent AAA titles and smaller projects that manage to carve out a niche among the giants.
