The Tokyo Game Show 2025 has left us with a highly anticipated announcement for Yakuza fans: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is official and will arrive in 2026. This new installment comes with the return of Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, all in improved versions that will also land on Xbox Series.
The news confirms that the franchise continues to strengthen its presence on Microsoft’s platform, consolidating itself as one of the most powerful Japanese sagas within the console catalog. However, there is a significant change: the most recent titles are no longer compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere, so they can no longer be enjoyed with a single shared purchase between PC and console, as was the case in the past with some SEGA releases.
