With the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater just around the corner (you can read our review), gamers’ attention is once again focused on one of the most iconic franchises in video game history. The remake of the 2004 classic arrives as a renewed homage that respects the original essence, but also raises questions about the future of the franchise.

The big question is obvious: could this be just the beginning of a new era for Metal Gear Solid? Konami, aware of the anticipation, is not closing the door on continuing to work on the series, as long as the community supports the current project.

Konami doesn’t rule out more Metal Gear Solid remakes

The game’s developers stated in an interview that the team is fully focused on the release of Delta Snake Eater. However, they also acknowledged that if the reception is positive and fans demand more remastered releases, they won’t hesitate to consider new projects within the saga.

This means that, depending on the reception and success of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, more reinterpretations of classic chapters could arrive in the future. Although Konami insists that nothing has been officially announced, the company recognizes that the voice of the players will be decisive in the next steps.
