FromSoftware has several fronts open currently, and one of them has remained a secret until now. While continuing to expand Elden Ring: Nightreign and developing an exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2, the Japanese studio is reportedly immersed in another completely new project destined for multiple platforms.
The information comes from the well-known insider Kurakasis, who claims that this game is codenamed FMC. Although its final title has not been revealed, everything suggests that it is already in advanced stages of development and could be released next year if there are no delays.
FromSoftware is working on a third unannounced project: FMC
According to a report published on MP1ST, FMC is not only a real project, but it has already entered an advanced production phase. This indicates that its official presentation could take place before the end of 2025, possibly at one of the events scheduled for autumn or winter. There is also speculation that it could be a remake of Dark Souls 3, but for now, everything is speculative.
There is no official data on genre or setting, but given that it’s FromSoftware, it’s logical to think of an action-focused approach, high difficulty, and a distinctive artistic style. It’s worth remembering that the studio doesn’t limit itself to soulslike games, and its history includes titles like Armored Core VI or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
If its multi-platform nature is confirmed, it’s likely to arrive on both Xbox Series and PS5, as well as PC, although we’ll have to wait for its formal announcement to learn more details. What’s clear is that 2026 could be another important year for the studio, and not just because of Elden Ring.
