After nearly a decade on PC, Albion Online has officially confirmed its arrival on Xbox consoles in 2026, marking a major milestone in the evolution of the popular free-to-play MMORPG.
The announcement comes alongside the roadmap for Spring 2026, where the development team describes the Xbox Series launch as “a big step forward for the game”. This isn’t just a port, but an adaptation designed to expand the game’s reach and lay the foundation for its future on console.
Albion Online on Xbox Series: What to Expect
According to the first details shared, the Xbox version will arrive with significant changes to the gaming experience, aimed at making it more accessible from a console:
-
New interface navigation, redesigned for controller use.
-
Cross-platform support, allowing play with PC users.
-
A technical foundation prepared for future expansions on console as well.
Although an exact date hasn’t been set, the launch is planned within 2026, coinciding with a particularly active period for the game, which continues to receive content and adjustments despite the passing years.
The debut on Xbox represents a highly significant move for Albion Online, which for the first time jumps to consoles and notably expands its potential community, while maintaining its sandbox focus and free-to-play model intact.
