The Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live has been the chosen stage for The Divine Comedy to reappear. The ambitious title from Jyamma Games takes inspiration from Dante Alighieri’s masterpiece and aims to bring its verses to the realm of RPGs with a modern approach and rich cultural references.
Although it was initially announced for PC via Steam, the studio has confirmed that the game will also arrive on consoles later, opening the door to its debut on Xbox Series, PlayStation, and other platforms yet to be detailed.
The Divine Comedy will also make its way to consoles
The title will allow players to choose between a male or female protagonist, offering a more personalized experience tailored to each player. Additionally, it will feature high-fidelity graphics and animations developed using an advanced motion capture system in collaboration with a renowned international studio, also responsible for productions like Phantom Blade Zero.
Jyamma Games states that The Divine Comedy aims to be an immersive work that combines modern gameplay with a strong cultural component, reaffirming Italian identity in an increasingly competitive market. For now, there is no confirmed release date, but the team promises to share more details soon.
The announcement of its future arrival on consoles represents a significant step in expanding its reach, and many hope that the proposal will eventually become part of the Xbox Series catalog. A unique RPG that bets on culture and art as pillars of its development.
