The developers of Echoes of the End have shared details about the game’s duration, just hours before its release. In an interview with wcftech, Halldór Snær Kristjánsson, game director and CEO of Myrkur Games, discussed the structure and length of the adventure.
According to Kristjánsson, the game is divided into 10 chapters, each with an approximate duration of one hour each.
An Ideal Duration for Echoes of the End
This translates to a total of 14 to 15 hours to complete the story, according to the development team’s estimates based on internal testing. However, we’ll have to see what additional content, such as collectibles or options to replay the story like the popular new game plus, might extend the game’s overall duration.
For those who don’t know, Echoes of the End is an action-adventure game set in a fantasy world reminiscent of God of War. The protagonist, Ryn, can receive help from her ally Abram in both exploration and combat. Throughout the ten chapters, players will encounter numerous puzzles that will require combining the special abilities of both main characters. This suggests a focus on cooperation and strategic use of each character’s unique skills to overcome challenges.
