Steam is once again betting on temporary free trials with a very unusual proposal within the MMO genre. For several days, PC players on Steam can access a multiplayer open-world experience focused on exploration, building, and social interaction without any prior purchase.
The promotion is already active and allows free play until January 26th at 7:00 PM (Spanish mainland time). It’s a perfect opportunity to try out a project that aims high and has generated a lot of curiosity due to its more open and less guided approach than traditional MMOs.
Pax Dei can be played for free on Steam until January 26th
- During this free period, players can start their adventure from scratch and access most of the game’s main mechanics. The experience focuses on the social sandbox, allowing the use of public crafting stations, tool manufacturing, exploration of wild territories, defeating enemies to obtain loot, and trading (or competing) with other players.
One of the most distinctive elements is the progression system based on Gracia, a resource that allows for special actions and, over time, claiming a plot of land within the persistent world. From there, each player decides their path: explorer, craftsman, builder, merchant, or warrior.

The game’s universe is inspired by medieval myths and legends, with magic integrated naturally into the world and a strong focus on emergent narrative created by the community. All of this makes this free trial an ideal opportunity to discover if this MMO is right for you before the promotion ends on Monday, January 26th.
