In a curious decision, Just Arms, a peculiar physics-based platform game, has become completely free on Steam. Previously, it cost 1.99 €, but from today it can be downloaded at no cost for any PC player.
The independent developer Icehelm wanted to celebrate its five years in video game development by giving away its most well-known title, while preparing the release of Putt Down, a golf game with horror elements. In this way, Just Arms becomes permanently free, with no expiration date or special conditions.
Just Arms now free on Steam forever
The game tells the story of a character who, after a mysterious fall, wakes up without legs. The only way to progress will be by using his arms, hitting himself against the environment to climb to the highest point. The goal: to find a witch who can return his body.
These are some of its features:
-
Gameplay based on realistic physics and absurd humor
-
Minimalist visual style with areas such as forests, cities, or snowy landscapes
-
Online PvP mode with up to 60 players competing to reach the top
-
Unlocking of skins and Steam achievements
-
Unique challenges in each area of the game
Just Arms has been very well received by fans of the genre for its constant challenge and its ability to engage, reminiscent of titles like Getting Over It, although with a much more chaotic and accessible approach.
If you want to try it, you can now download it for free from its official Steam page:
