Valve has published the Steam hardware and software survey for July 2025, one of the most closely followed reports every month because it reflects how the average PC gamer’s setup is configured. As a study based on millions of users, its results provide a good snapshot of the current state of the market and where it’s evolving.
This time, the data shows that Windows 11 is now the dominant operating system, that NVIDIA’s mid-range RTX graphics cards continue to lead, and that most gamers are still playing at 1080p. Additionally, changes are starting to be seen in RAM and storage, a sign that more and more users are preparing for more demanding titles.
