GSC Game World continues to expand the world of STALKER 2 with significant content. After recently leaving Xbox Game Pass and coinciding with its arrival on PS5, the survival shooter will receive a major free update called Stories Untold, available on December 16th for all players, with no additional cost on any platform.
Far from being a minor patch, Stories Untold adds new story missions, locations, and characters, reinforcing one of the game’s pillars: an open world where every decision leaves a mark. The studio has made it clear that this is completely free content for anyone who owns the game.
Everything included in the Stories Untold update
The update introduces a notable amount of new features:
-
8 new missions, with several hours of gameplay
-
7 new locations to explore within the Zone
-
6 new characters, each with their own story and background
-
A unique weapon, tied to the new content
-
A new playable hub, which can appear based on your decisions
One of the most striking elements is precisely this new hub, located in the Burned Forest region, an area that was previously little inhabited on the map. Depending on how the new missions unfold, the player can shape this enclave, which will feature trader, technician, medic, guide, rest area, and storage, making it a key point for survival.
GSC Game World emphasizes that this expansion maintains the game’s philosophy intact: The Zone changes based on your actions, and this time it does so in a tangible way, even altering its structure and points of interest.
