After months of rumors, the wait seems to be over. Silent Hill 2, the remake of the Konami classic developed by Bloober Team, has been listed on the Microsoft Store, confirming its arrival on Xbox Series with a release date set for November 21, 2025.
The leak, discovered on Microsoft’s digital store servers, also confirms that the title will feature a Deluxe Edition and a special bundle with Silent Hill f, reinforcing Konami’s commitment to reviving its most iconic horror franchise.
Although the listing does not currently mention Xbox Play Anywhere support, it does specify that the release will be simultaneous on consoles and PC, suggesting a full publication in the Xbox ecosystem after a temporary exclusivity on other platforms.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Release Date on Xbox Series
The Silent Hill 2 remake recovers the original story released in 2001, where James Sunderland travels to the eerie town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his deceased wife years ago. What he finds there is a nightmare shrouded in mystery, guilt, and symbolism, with the constant presence of the iconic Pyramid Head.
The new version, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, includes renewed graphics, third-person camera, new animations, and a modernized combat system, all without losing the oppressive atmosphere that defined the original. According to the leaked description, the Deluxe Edition will include a digital artbook, the official soundtrack, and an exclusive cosmetic inspired by Pyramid Head’s famous pizza box.
