Shocktober returns to Xbox: horror games, discounts and new releases on Game Pass

The most terrifying month of the year is about to begin, and Xbox is celebrating in a big way with the return of Shocktober, its traditional Halloween event. From October 16 to November 2, players will be able to enjoy a wave of deals, special events within games, and new titles on Game Pass.

During this period, there will be discounts on dozens of horror games for console and PC, as well as multiplayer experiences with themed content. All accompanied by a dark atmosphere that will spread across Xbox’s main franchises.

Games on Offer for Shocktober

Among the promotions, recent titles stand out:

• Hell is Us
  Third-person action-adventure set in a country devastated by civil war and a supernatural plague. Use your ancestral sword and drone to survive impossible creatures and uncover the truth behind the chaos.

• Dead by Daylight
  The most popular asymmetric multiplayer game in the genre. Four survivors must escape from a killer in a game of strategy, tension, and nerve-wracking action. Each match is different, and each death is bloodier than the last.

• Little Nightmares III – Deluxe Edition
  Two lost children in a world that doesn’t belong to them. Explore twisted scenarios, face grotesque creatures, and search for a way out of this endless nightmare.

Shocktober also adds new additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog, including two major releases:

• Hogwarts Legacy

• The Casting of Frank Stone

• Fortnitemares 2025
  Fortnite celebrates Halloween with the arrival of Doja Cat as the “Mother of Thorns”, along with guests like Jason, Ghost Face, Wednesday Addams, and Scooby-Doo. A terrifying crossover with new missions, bosses, and exclusive outfits.

• Overwatch 2: Haunted Masquerade
  Blizzard’s shooter celebrates Season 19 with an event filled with cosmetics, Halloween-themed maps, and weekly challenges.

• FragPunk
  The new strategic shooter joins the party with a PvE tower defense mode where players must resist waves of monsters while investigating a corruption that threatens their universe.
