Although S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is no longer part of Xbox Game Pass, its studio is moving forward with a significant update that will expand and polish the experience. Version 1.7, dubbed “Expedition”, introduces new mechanics, more atmospheric variety, and changes highly requested by the community.

Visually, this update adds new anomalies and a new light rain weather scenario, designed to enhance immersion and provide more variety to travels through the Zone. It also introduces an Immersive Mode, created for those seeking to explore Chernobyl with a cleaner presentation and a more realistic approach.

Among the new gameplay features, the team has included a Master/Expedition Mode difficulty level, a challenging proposal that adjusts combat and survival for veterans.
