After being announced a few months ago, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection still didn’t have an official release date. However, a leak from the Xbox app itself may have revealed when this highly anticipated retro collection will arrive: September 29, 2025. The page has already been removed, but for a few hours, it clearly showed the date along with the name of the responsible developer, Digital Eclipse.
Although the information has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. yet, everything suggests that the official announcement will be made in the coming weeks. The collection brings together several of the most representative titles in the fighting saga, and its arrival on modern consoles would be a major event for fans of classic fatalities.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection: Classic Games to Arrive in September
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection would include the original games from the 90s that marked an entire generation. According to the leaked page, these are the titles already listed:
-
Mortal Kombat
-
Mortal Kombat II
-
Mortal Kombat 3
-
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
-
Mortal Kombat 4
-
And more games to be announced
This collection promises to revive the bloodiest and most memorable battles of the franchise, with the original graphics, sounds, and mechanics that made them icons of the genre. Digital Eclipse, known for high-quality restorations like TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, would be in charge of development.
If the leak is true, the wait will end on September 29. For now, there is no official confirmation, but the return of Mortal Kombat in its most classic form seems closer than ever.
