The Alien saga has been one of my favorite movie franchises for many years, although in my childhood I knew it through the crossovers it had with the Predator franchise, later I discovered everything that was behind it and I decided to dive into that world; with a much deeper lore than what we can see in the movies and that fortunately in video games we have been able to benefit from. That’s why I wanted to dive into analyzing this Analysis of Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, which although it has some good things, also has some flaws that I will comment on below, although the final summary is that my experience has been positive.
The game’s synopsis takes us to put ourselves in the skin of Zula, a former colonial marine with a heavy emotional burden on her back, who along with her synthetic companion Davis arrives at a colony on a frozen planet to contact a friend who has discovered something horrible. Everything to realize that the entire base has been infested with xenomorphs, so we will have to make our way through the monsters and the base’s systems to discover what is really happening.
Technical Section
The technical section is important here, especially since we are talking about a game that has gone from being developed for virtual reality devices and has been adapted to work correctly on PC and traditional consoles. We have a good level of optimization on Xbox Series X/S, with a resolution of 1440p and 1080p respectively, with both versions moving at 60 FPS, although on my Xbox Series S version I have had some moments of instability, specifically in moments of confrontations in which I have been overwhelmed by the number of xenomorphs that have attacked.

In the sound section, we also have good things to say, since the atmosphere is excellently recreated, because the tension is present in every corridor and every door you open and through which the next monster can attack. The music only makes an appearance in confrontations and is used to warn the player that a xenomorph has made an appearance, even if we haven’t seen it, which puts us on alert immediately and works really well.
Gameplay
In this section, we also have a lot to mention, since being a FPS that moves away from the traditional, to approach some experiences like DOOM, in the sense that we will not be limited to a couple of weapons at a time. We will have access to a pulse rifle, a sawed-off shotgun, and a powerful revolver, being able to alternate quickly between the three to face the hordes that can come at us at any moment.
Since these confrontations are totally random and can surprise us at any moment, if you move away from the game, pause it first, since no room is safe if you leave the door open or there is a ventilation conduit; something that we can partially secure with sensor grenades that we can place around us and that if something crosses, it will give a significant blow.
In combat, we will also be able to perform a dodge that will allow us to dodge the xenomorphs’ attacks, although doing so will consume stamina, something that will also happen if we sprint to escape or reach a place quickly. If we lose health due to attacks, we will have to heal using stimulants, which we can find by exploring the scene, from tables to the lockers of the abandoned base’s personnel; and which, unfortunately, will have some closed accesses that we can open if we get the sufficient authorization level or if we hack some electrical panels that will allow us to enter rooms where we will also find other resources such as ammunition for our different weapons.

On our team, we will also have other gadgets that will help us face the aliens, such as the typical motion sensor that the marines used in the second movie and that will not hesitate to warn us if we have something moving around us, a flashlight to see clearly in dark areas, a map that we can consult in real-time while advancing or see it more closely with our character stopped, in which we can also consult the inventory and mission objectives to follow.
We will also have a cutter that will allow us to enter more rooms that have been sealed in a somewhat irregular way, in addition to opening locked lockers and briefcases with more resources for us.
Finally, but not least, we will be able to discover small details of the story by listening to audios on our PDA or by hacking base terminals and reading the emails of the personnel who until recently were living a normal life in those facilities.

Duration
The duration is possibly the most disappointing aspect of this Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, since as its full name indicates, this is only the first part of the story they want to tell, so we can pass this title without any problem in an afternoon and we will have time to spare before finishing the day, it can last us around four hours or so.

Conclusion
Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition Part One is a great game in the Alien saga that gives us an interesting story on a frozen planet and with a base that has been reduced to ruins, where we have to face a huge number of xenomorphs with formidable resistance. Although unfortunately, we will have to wait for the studio to release the second part, which I hope will bring a memorable ending to its story, in addition to important news and additions, such as more of the arsenal we have seen in the movies and many other video games.
