Capcom has launched a brand new free project for mobile devices that serves as the perfect appetizer, while the community waits for the next big release in the series, Resident Evil Requiem. The app appeared this morning on both iOS and Android and can be downloaded for free, with a unique proposition that differs from the usual fare within the franchise universe.
The launch has been direct, with no prior registration period and a formula focused on management and constant progress. With a more tactical approach than pure action, the game features expeditions, upgrades, and a character system that unlocks over time.
Resident Evil Survival Unit now available for free on iOS and Android
Resident Evil Survival Unit is developed by Aniplex Inc. under official license from Capcom. It’s a strategy proposal where you manage groups of survivors, including some of the series’ most well-known protagonists, such as Leon or Claire.
The base of operations can be expanded, expeditions generate resources, and it’s possible to acquire new characters, with free options and others available through in-app purchases.

Currently only available on mobile devices
For now, the title is only available on mobile devices. There is no official version for PC or a dedicated launcher that allows play from Windows through an adapted environment. The experience is designed specifically for iOS and Android, and all its content is focused on portable format.
A free launch that adds another option for those who follow the series closely and want something different while waiting for the next big release in the franchise.
