Just days away from The Game Awards, Resident Evil Requiem is once again at the center of attention for a reason that Capcom probably didn’t plan for. A temporary listing on GameStop revealed several unseen elements of a supposed edition of the game, and although the content has been removed, screenshots are circulating online.
The most striking detail is not just the reference to new content, but the appearance of a name that no one expected to see associated with the project. The community has been following every move of the title for months, and this leak is reigniting all the theories just before its next public appearance.
Resident Evil Requiem Leak: Two DLCs and an Unannounced Playable Character
According to the images captured before the website was modified, the GameStop listing mentioned an edition that included a “The Sanctuary” Expansion Pass, consisting of two additional stories and a major addition to the Mercenaries mode. The listing also mentioned a steelbook, a cosmetic filter called Morphic Visor, a pack of three outfits under the name Shadow Walker, a digital artbook, and the official soundtrack.
But what was most surprising was the presence of Rosemary Winters, who had not appeared in any official material related to Resident Evil Requiem. Her name was associated with cosmetic elements and that special visor, which suggests that she could be a playable character in the title or in the additional content. For now, there is no sign of Leon, despite the rumors that placed him in the story, and Capcom has not confirmed the existence of these DLCs.
Since this is a leak from a major retailer, the information is intriguing, but it’s not official. It could belong to an unannounced edition or simply be an internal error while preparing the listing. The series has received expansions after launch in its recent installments, so the possibility is there, but until Capcom speaks, everything should be treated with caution.
The game will be present at The Game Awards 2025, so it’s very likely that we’ll get answers in just a few days.
