The latest financial presentation from Capcom makes it clear that the legacy of the Japanese company is stronger than ever. According to the results of the second quarter of the fiscal year 2026, the Resident Evil and Devil May Cry sagas have led the global sales of the publisher, reinforcing their position as one of the most profitable in the sector.
In total, Devil May Cry 5 sold over 2.13 million copies in the first half of the year, solidifying its position as Capcom’s best-selling title between April and September 2025. It is followed by Resident Evil Village (1.56 million), Resident Evil 4 (1.26 million), and Street Fighter 6 (1.08 million).
Resident Evil Requiem aims high as Capcom dominates the market
During the presentation, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem, whose reservations are now open, the new installment in the saga, will arrive on February 27, 2026, and has already accumulated several awards after its passage through Gamescom 2025, including the award for best action game. On the other hand, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be released on March 13, 2026, reinforcing the line of releases for the next fiscal year.
