The independent project that seeks to recover the essence of the classic arcade driving games of the 90s continues to be polished with new improvements. Its latest update, available today, includes a manual transmission system and a revamped speed interface, as well as new competitive options focused on online leaderboards.
With this, the responsible studio seeks to strengthen the experience for both players who seek precision at the wheel and those who enjoy the social aspect, thanks to the possibility of following friends’ and rivals’ records in a much clearer way.
Rally Arcade Classics updates with Precision & Chase
The Precision & Chase update implements several notable innovations:
-
Manual transmission: players will be able to control each gear shift, with markers that reflect whether the record is achieved in manual or automatic.
-
New speedometer: the classic bar disappears and a dynamic speedometer is introduced, with a more complete interface for manual drivers and simplified for those who prefer automatic.
-
Friends lists: now you can follow up to 25 different drivers to compare marks.
-
Renovated ranking tables: with filters for global position, top 10 or friends, as well as indicating the type of transmission used.
In addition to this update, the game will have a 50% discount during the next week on all platforms.
A Spanish project that revives the arcade spirit
Developed in Barcelona by a small team of three people, Rally Arcade Classics proposes a nostalgic journey with 44 iconic vehicles from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, 48 circuits with dynamic weather and several game modes, from Tour to Rally championships and License tests.
Already available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), the title combines the accessibility of arcade games with simulation elements, betting on a style close to the great references of the genre such as SEGA Rally or Colin McRae Rally.
