The end of an era is about to arrive for PUBG: Battlegrounds on Xbox One. The popular multiplayer survival title will officially shut down its servers on the last-gen console on November 13, 2025, marking the end of its active support on this platform.
Krafton has confirmed that the closure will only affect the Xbox One version, while the game will remain available and operational on Xbox Series, PC, and other platforms where it maintains an active player base. The company thanked the community for their support over the years, highlighting that the transition to new consoles has been key to the game’s future.
The farewell to Xbox One and the future of battle royale on new generations
With this move, PUBG puts an end to its presence on Xbox One after over seven years of activity. The studio will focus its efforts on the optimized versions for Xbox Series, which offer visual improvements, reduced loading times, and updated technical support.
Players who still have their progress or content on Xbox One will be able to keep it linked to their account and continue accessing it from next-gen consoles. Additionally, Krafton has reminded players that future events and seasons will be designed exclusively for modern hardware.
November 13 will be remembered as the day PUBG: Battlegrounds closed its cycle on Xbox One, but also as the beginning of a new era for a franchise that defined the battle royale genre and continues to evolve on current-gen consoles.
