Microsoft has already confirmed Project Helix, the next generation of Xbox that aims to combine the traditional concept of a console with the flexibility of a PC. Although its final specifications and release date are still unknown, estimates are starting to emerge about one of the aspects that most interests gamers: its possible price.
For now, there are no official figures from Microsoft. Some industry analysts believe that the new hardware could be positioned in a higher price range than current consoles, especially if it’s finally confirmed that it will be a hybrid platform between console and PC designed to offer a significant power boost.
The price of Project Helix (unconfirmed)
According to analyst Dr. Serkan Toto from Kantan Games, the new Xbox could be positioned above $900 when it hits the market. This estimate is based on the recent evolution of hardware prices in the industry.
- The expert notes that PS5 Pro is priced around $750 in the US, while Xbox Series with 2 TB is already around $800, so a more advanced machine would likely be priced even higher. Following this logic, the base model of Project Helix could start at around $900, while a more powerful version could be even more expensive.
It’s also mentioned that the final price will depend on factors such as component costs, especially memory and storage, which have experienced significant fluctuations in recent years. Nevertheless, the analyst believes that gamers should prepare for a clearly premium system in the market.
It’s worth remembering that these figures are part of industry speculation and not confirmed by Microsoft. The company has yet to reveal official details about the price or configurations of Project Helix, although everything points to the new Xbox competing in a segment closer to high-performance hardware.
