Crytek is ending the year on a high note with its acclaimed extraction shooter, launching Post Malone’s Murder Circus Encore, a special event that can be played starting today and transforms the bayou into a winter terror carnival. After reaching 10 million players, the studio is reinforcing its bet with massive content and a key update for the game’s future.
The collaboration with Post Malone returns with force, this time in an even darker and more chaotic context. The event arrives with update 2.6, one of the most comprehensive to date, and will be available until February 9, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Everything new that Post Malone’s Murder Circus Encore brings to Hunt: Showdown 1895
The event introduces a renewed conflict in which the former Master of Ceremonies, now turned into the Disciple of Death, seeks to regain his corrupted dominance. Hunters are caught in this struggle as they pursue the HelioStone artifact, with old enemies and new alliances crossing paths.
Among the most notable additions are the Story Challenges, a new narrative system that allows exploring the background of the Hunt universe. The premiere comes with two stories:
-
In the Winds of the Winter Solstice, a limited-time story centered on Krampus.
-
An Acquired Taste, a permanent and free story starring hunter Tennessee Morgan.
The Player Profile Customization also debuts, allowing players to display avatars, titles, frames, badges, and visible statistics for allies and rivals, giving each hunter their own identity in matches.
- Gameplay receives significant changes with the new “Wet” state, which alters behavior in combat when crossing deep waters, and with the arrival of the Water Bottle, a tactical object that opens up new strategic possibilities. This is added to the return of Ursa Mortis, now more ferocious than ever, with new abilities and a much more aggressive behavior.
- The event also incorporates Exclusive Troop Traits, a deep renovation of the interface, improvements to the ping and compass system, balance adjustments, and multiple optimizations designed for both veterans and new players. All this is complemented by a thematic Battle Pass, full of cosmetic rewards, weapons, and unlocks linked to the macabre circus.
The result is a more dynamic, accessible, and dangerous Hunt: Showdown 1895 than ever, just in time to close the year with one of the most ambitious events the game has received to date.
