Forza Horizon 6 is slowly revealing its details, and this time it’s doing so with one of the most important aspects of its open world. After learning about its biomes, Playground Games has published a new video focused on how the seasons will affect the Japan-set map.
Far from being just a cosmetic change, the studio has wanted to go further and build a system that directly influences both driving and the player’s overall experience.
Forza Horizon 6 bets on more dynamic and realistic seasons
According to the team, the season system is inspired by Japanese culture itself, including the famous 72 micro-seasons, which allows for constant changes in the environment. This translates into variations in vegetation, climate, and road behavior, but also cultural details. The game will include events and celebrations unique to the country, such as spring, autumn, or traditional festivals that will be part of the Horizon Festival itself.
In addition, Playground has taken into account feedback from previous installments to avoid some problems detected in the past, such as excessive snow in winter. This time, main roads will remain cleaner, while off-road areas will present more challenging conditions.
Everything points to Forza Horizon 6 seeking to offer a more changing and varied world, where each season not only transforms the landscape but also the way the game is played and the map is explored.
