In 1987, a certain Julian LeFay began his career at what was then Bethesda Softworks, where he would contribute his talent to shape the first The Elder Scrolls, a franchise that he would accompany until the release of Morrowind before leaving Bethesda in 1998, more than a decade after his debut.
Already in 2019, the talented creative was one of the founders of OnceLost Games, a studio that is developing an RPG financed with crowdfunding that promises a lot and is called The Wayward Realms. The development will continue and promises to be a tribute to LeFay’s entire career.
A legacy that will live on in the future
His loved ones confirmed his passing on July 22, the date when cancer finally won the battle LeFay had been fighting for a long time. Just a few days earlier, on July 17, OnceLost Games had announced that the creative would be leaving the studio to spend more time with his family.
At just 59 years old, LeFay’s legacy and influence will live on in every moment of the new title in development, one that still has no confirmed release date, but which we will follow closely from now on.
