The second half of July is shaping up to be strong for Xbox Game Pass users. While waiting for the official announcement of new titles for the rest of the month, one confirmed name is returning to the service: High On Life will be available on July 15th on console, PC, and cloud.
This return is no coincidence. The date coincides with the usual presentation of the second batch of games for the month, suggesting that Microsoft could take advantage of that same day to announce several additions to Game Pass. But High On Life has already gotten ahead and will be one of the stars.
High On Life returns to Game Pass on July 15th
High On Life was one of the most talked-about surprises when it originally launched on Game Pass, combining first-person shooting with a very marked humorous style. Developed by Squanch Games and featuring the participation of Justin Roiland (co-creator of Rick & Morty), the game has managed to earn its place with its absurd dialogue, psychedelic aesthetic, and unfiltered approach.
The game puts us in the shoes of a human who becomes a galactic bounty hunter, with the particularity that our guns… talk. Each gun has its own personality and reacts differently to what happens on screen. It’s a title that doesn’t take itself seriously, but offers solid shooting mechanics, platform exploration, and a vibrant alien world.
The return to Game Pass includes full access on both Xbox consoles and PC and cloud gaming. It hasn’t been mentioned if the High On Knife DLC is included, but we’ll know more details in the official communication on July 15th.
