The studio publicly confirmed that the Microsoft Azure interruption caused The Outer Worlds 2 and the rest of the team’s games to become temporarily inaccessible on Xbox (both on consoles and the PC app) and could not be played through PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The support team shared a message explaining that they are working with Microsoft to restore normality as soon as possible.
The incident also took down the official Xbox.com page and Microsoft’s support portal, leaving players without updated information during the first minutes of the incident. From Redmond, they assured that they are acting to resolve the DNS issues and recover stability in the affected services as soon as possible.
