Bethesda and Virtuos are about to bring back one of the most iconic RPGs of all time. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered now has a confirmed release date in physical format for Xbox Series X and PS5: it’s set to arrive on October 13, 2025. Pre-orders are already available at The Game Collection, a UK-based specialty store.

The news has been met with enthusiasm from fans (as we reported last weekend), especially since it’s an official remastering of the acclaimed Oblivion, this time adapted for current-gen consoles. However, a significant question arises regarding the Xbox version: it’s unclear whether it will include the full game on disc or just a download code.

The product listing on The Game Collection indicates that the Xbox version is “compatible with Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Windows,” which suggests that it might be a box with a digital code instead of the game on disc. For now, the store hasn’t been able to confirm whether the edition will be a physical release or just a promotional packaging.

Either way, the launch price will be low, hinting at a mid-range release, similar to other recent remasters under the Virtuos label. The title will include graphical improvements, native support for current-gen consoles, and visual adaptations closer to modern standards, all without altering the original’s essence.
