Roblox, the world’s most popular gaming platform, has received a surprise launch in the Xbox store for PC. Although it was already available on Xbox, PC, mobile devices, and even PlayStation recently, it had never had a direct integration with the Xbox desktop environment… until now.
According to XboxEra, on September 11, a new entry appeared in the Microsoft store with the name “Roblox – Windows”, taking up only 200 MB of installation space. What’s interesting is that it’s labeled with the tags “Xbox Cross-Platform Multiplayer” and “Xbox Cross-Platform Co-op”, something that hadn’t been seen linked to Roblox on PC before.
What changes with this version of Roblox on Xbox for PC?
Although the content itself remains the same (a huge catalog of games and experiences created by the community), this version seems to be more aligned with the Xbox ecosystem, possibly with an optimized interface or improved functions for console environment users.
The installer appears as a new entry in the Xbox store for PC, suggesting a possible move by Microsoft to more directly integrate platforms like Roblox into the official Xbox launcher on Windows.
As they point out, it’s still to be confirmed whether this is just an adapted access or a more controlled version similar to what we see on consoles, where the content is more filtered and moderated than in the chaotic browser or mobile versions.

This new version may mark the beginning of a stronger integration between Roblox and Xbox on PC, with access from the Xbox app, cross-social options, and perhaps a safer experience for certain player profiles.
