The GSC Game World team is still polishing the experience in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and a new update is now available for the PC version. This is patch 1.5.1, focused on resolving important errors related to character behavior, main quests, and overall game stability. While it’s currently only released on PC, it’s expected to arrive on Xbox consoles soon.
Among the issues fixed are NPCs ignoring emissions, bodies flying off after headshots, errors when saving/loading game, and crashes during boss fights. Critical crashes, visual bugs have also been corrected, and patrol behavior and navigation in enclosed areas have been improved. Additionally, the mod SDK has been updated, ensuring compatibility with the latest game changes.
STALKER 2 Patch 1.5.1: Fixed Errors and Important Improvements
Here are some of the most notable corrections in patch 1.5.1:

NPCs now properly take cover during emissions in offline mode.

Fixed a bug that caused interaction prompts to disappear after saving/loading the game.

Solved anomalous behaviors such as NPCs getting stuck walking in the same spot or freezing in the middle of combat.

Two EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors were corrected that could lead to unexpected crashes.

Adjusted the position of money and weight indicators in the player’s inventory.

Fixed a visual error where corpses were launched after headshots.

A blockage during the ‘Visions of Truth’ mission was repaired, preventing players from returning to the X-17 laboratory.

The context menu can now be opened correctly more than once when looting objects.

Fixed the issue of FOV resetting to 110 on ultrawide monitors.

Removed NPCs and mutants appearing in restricted areas like Hubs or main mission locations.

The Scherba collar system now offers dialogue in the In the Name of Science mission.

The new Zone Kit for mods is now compatible with the updated content of version 1.5.1.
