Fallout 76 has received a new update today with numerous adjustments, both visually and gameplay-wise. This time, Bethesda has focused on improving the overall experience in Appalachia, fine-tuning details in the building system, combat, fishing, and even the behavior of Ghoul enemies.

The update is now available on Xbox with a download size of 22.7 GB, while on PC (Microsoft Store) it takes up 15.7 GB and on Steam, 2.9 GB. The changes also fix visual errors, problems with perks and premium items, and bring highly requested quality-of-life improvements.

Fallout 76 – All the Improvements in the July 22, 2025 Update

Here are the most notable improvements in the new patch:

• C.A.M.P.

  • The wood cost of the watchtower has been reduced from 25 to 5 units

  • The construction limit for some flags has been increased from 3 to 25

  • Errors with textures, object destruction, and incorrect materials have been fixed

  • Cat beds no longer cause “fights” between models

• Combat and Enemies

  • A bug that prevented looting from corpses, bags, and ashes has been fixed

  • Adjustments have been made to weapons like the Electro Enforcer, Imposter Assaultron, and Alien Blaster

  • Ghouls no longer contract diseases, and their visual perks have been updated

• Fishing and Environment

  • The challenge of fishing in the rain in Skyline Valley now progresses correctly

  • The position of fish in curved displays has been fixed

• Weapons and Equipment

  • A sound error with the chainsaw and automatic axe has been solved

  • Improvements have been made to skins and visual effects for objects like the Plasma Caster or the Death Tambo

  • The snorkel now protects against aerial hazards

• Interface and General Fixes

  • Adjustments have been made to modification, crafting, and perk menus

  • The “No Mic” emote error and other animation issues have been fixed

  • The Power Armor lantern now appears correctly in third person with certain skins

The update can now be downloaded from the Xbox Store. If you’ve been away from Appalachia for a while, this patch polishes many of the details that make a difference in a more stable and coherent experience.
