New update available for EA Sports FC 25: changes in gameplay, Ultimate Team, Icons and more

Electronic Arts has officially launched update 17 for EA SPORTS FC 25, now available on all platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This new patch includes specific changes to gameplay, corrections to Ultimate Team, new features in Career Mode, and various visual adjustments.

The update will be applied automatically, and in some cases, requires a game restart to complete. In the case of the improvement related to Icons, it will be activated later through a server update.

Update 17 Highlights in EA SPORTS FC 25

Here are the most notable changes introduced by this new update:

Gameplay

• The behavior of failed tackles has been modified.
  Now, failed hard tackles take longer to recover from, reducing situations where a player could chain two tackle attempts with minimal penalty.

“The goal of this adjustment is to reduce situations where a failed tackle immediately leads to a new attempt, especially in aggressive defenses.”

Ultimate Team

• A bug affecting Premium Pass rewards has been fixed.
  In certain cases, rewards could not be claimed correctly, something that should no longer occur after this patch.

Career Mode

• An update to the list of available Icons in Career Mode as a player.
  This modification will be applied through a server update shortly after the patch.

General, Audio, and Visual

• Multiple visual elements have been updated and corrected:

  • Interface buttons and messages

  • Player hairstyles

  • Uniforms, boots, and other accessories

  • Stadiums, trophies, badges, and advertisements

  • Temporary text and image corrections
