Cyberpunk 2077 receives a new update today on Xbox Series, PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Mac. This is patch 2.31, which arrives as a lightweight revision compared to the July 2.3 version, but includes important changes to automatic driving, photo mode, and several side missions.

In addition to visual and performance fixes, a new graphics option has been introduced, along with specific adjustments for the Mac version and localized fixes for issues with text, collisions, and interface elements. Let’s review all the changes:

Vehicles

• The AutoDrive system has improved: it now drives more smoothly, overtakes slow vehicles, and doesn’t stop at traffic lights.

• In free driving mode, the behavior of following traffic rules has also been improved to be more natural.

• A bug has been fixed where Johnny Silverhand always appeared in the passenger seat when using Delamain taxis.

• A visual error in the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru has been solved, where the tires would flicker with random colors when applying the CrystalCoat paint.

Photo Mode

• The poses added in the 2.3 update now work with characters of any gender.

• NPC collision has been disabled to make it easier to place them on objects (like a car hood).

• A bug that prevented using some poses with the Royce character has been fixed.

Missions and Open World

• Freedom: a diary text error has been corrected that appeared incorrectly if you decided not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred”.

• Motorbreath:

  • A bug where River never sent the promised message after a failed chase has been solved.

  • A bug that caused the Semimaru vehicle to flip over, blocking progress, has been fixed.

  • The mission will no longer activate if River died during the The Hunt mission.

  • Even if you fail The Hunt, you can now obtain the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER.

• Nitro (Youth Energy):

  • A game crash that occurred in certain situations when exiting the event at the Yaiba showroom has been solved.

  • A visual error with the interface when the expanded HUD option was activated has been fixed.

General Improvements

• Several translation and lip sync errors in different languages have been fixed.

• A new option has been added to the menu: disable anti-aliasing. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.

• An issue where ray tracing reflections were not displayed correctly on PC and Mac has been fixed.

• Several errors in Delamain’s text messages have been corrected.

• Additional adjustments have been made for decorative item vendors.

PC-Specific Improvements

• A bug where NVIDIA Reflex was disabled when using DLSS Frame Generation, causing the screen to turn pink, has been solved.

• A bug where ray tracing was not activated correctly under certain conditions has been fixed.

Mac-Specific Improvements

• Changing graphics presets no longer adjusts reflections to incorrect levels.

• The permanent white screen when entering braindance with Frame Generation enabled has been solved.

• Restoring default settings no longer automatically disables HDR.

• The inverted behavior of the “Mute game in background” setting has been corrected.

• The erroneous message indicating that the game needed to be restarted when disabling spatial audio has been removed.

• A bug in the App Store version that left the game frozen on the “Press space to continue” screen has been fixed.
