Square Enix has cleared up any doubts and confirmed that a new Life is Strange will be officially announced in a matter of days. Following recent hints that appeared in European records, the Japanese company itself has been responsible for setting a date for the big moment, fueling the expectations of fans of the series.
The announcement will come with a dedicated presentation where the first details of the next chapter of the franchise will be revealed, which is directly aimed at 2026 as its release window.
The announcement of the new Life is Strange already has a date and time
According to Square Enix, the official presentation of the next title in the saga will take place on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00 PM (Spanish mainland time). The company has shared a brief message on social media inviting fans to “separate reality from rumors” and to follow the event live.
For now, the project is known internally as Life is Strange: Reunion, although it has not been confirmed if that will be the final name. It is also unclear if it will be a direct continuation of Life is Strange: Double Exposure or a completely new story with new protagonists and a renewed focus.
Another point that will be clarified during the announcement is which studio is leading the development. With Don’t Nod focused on other projects also planned for 2026, everything suggests that Deck Nine could repeat, although Square Enix does not rule out surprising with a different team.
In any case, the return of Life is Strange is already a reality, and on January 20th, we will find out about the immediate future of one of the most recognizable narrative sagas of the last few years.
